STRENGTHENING SHIELDING: SB2O3 DOPING TO ENHANCE SODA-LIME GLASS PERFORMANCE

This study investigates the enhancement of shielding capabilities in soda-lime glasses through the doping of antimony trioxide (Sb2O3). By introducing Sb2O3 into the glass matrix, the shielding effectiveness against radiation is significantly improved. The research explores the influence of varying doping concentrations on the shielding performance and analyzes the structural and compositional changes induced by Sb2O3 doping. Experimental results demonstrate that Sb2O3 doping effectively reinforces the shielding properties of soda-lime glasses, making them more suitable for applications in radiation protection. This work provides valuable insights into the design and optimization of radiation shielding materials.
