Abstract

This article analyzes theoretical approaches to composite sentences, including complex sentences, particularly those with subordinate clause of place. Furthermore, the concept of "place" is examined through a linguocognitive approach, and its realization — that is, verbalization — at morphological, lexical, syntactic, phraseological, and paremiological levels of language is discussed using examples from Uzbek and English. The field structure of the concept of "place" is also revealed.
