PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL AND THE ROLE OF CLUBS IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

This article analyzes the role and importance of extracurricular activities in the formation of students’ professional competencies from a pedagogical perspective. Extracurricular activities are regarded as an effective tool in training specialists who meet the requirements of the modern labor market, capable of independent thinking and creative approach. The article highlights the components of professional competence, particularly theoretical knowledge, practical skills, professional values, and communicative abilities, as well as the ways of their development. Furthermore, the effectiveness of extracurricular activities organized on the basis of interactive methods, project-based tasks, and problem situations is analyzed through practical experience. Factors that positively influence students’ professional development — such as motivation, responsibility, and initiative towards their chosen profession — are revealed. In conclusion, it is emphasized that a systematic and purposeful organization of extracurricular activities can deepen students’ professional competencies. The article has practical significance for university teachers, methodologists, and specialists engaged in pedagogical activity.Downloads
