Abstract

This article discusses the role of modern pedagogical approaches in supporting the development of social-emotional competencies in learners. These competencies include self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, collaboration, critical thinking, and responsible decision-making. The paper emphasizes that social-emotional development is not a separate process but an integral part of effective teaching. By analyzing different pedagogical practices such as student-centered learning, collaborative education, gamification, reflective techniques, and the use of digital tools, the study highlights how teachers can create an educational environment where both intellectual and emotional growth are equally valued.
