Abstract

This article explores the use of Task-Based Learning (TBL) as an effective approach to enhance communicative competence among EFL learners. It emphasizes how task-based activities promote meaningful interaction, authentic language use, and learner engagement in real-life communication contexts. The study discusses various types of communicative tasks, including problem-solving, information-gap, and role-play activities, which encourage students to use language purposefully rather than focusing solely on grammar or form. The findings indicate that implementing TBL in EFL classrooms significantly improves learners’ fluency, accuracy, and confidence in communication. Furthermore, it highlights the teacher’s role as a facilitator who guides learners through interactive and reflective learning processes.
