THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF THE SERVICE SECTOR IN THE ECONOMY

The service sector has become the dominant contributor to economic growth in many countries, accounting for significant shares of GDP and employment. This study examines the role of services in economic development, identifies key factors driving sectoral growth, and evaluates their impact on national economies. Findings indicate that an efficient service sector enhances productivity, creates employment opportunities, stimulates innovation, and strengthens the overall economy. Policy recommendations for improving service sector performance are also discussed.
