Abstract

The article emphasizes that while foreign language classrooms face unique challenges in implementing SEL, they also offer powerful opportunities to develop both linguistic proficiency and crucial social-emotional skills. By thoughtfully addressing these challenges and leveraging the opportunities, educators can create language learning environments that foster holistic student development and prepare students for successful intercultural communication and global citizenship.
