Abstract

This article examines the syntactic characteristics of slang in English and Uzbek languages. It provides an analysis of the structural composition of slang words and expressions, their grammatical roles, and highlights both commonalities and distinctions between the two languages. The research results indicate that in both English and Uzbek, slang is predominantly formed through processes such as abbreviation, playful manipulation of linguistic elements, and intentional deviation from standard grammatical norms.
