Abstract

This article examines the role of agroecology in preventing soil degradation and promoting sustainable farming practices. It highlights key strategies such as crop diversification, organic amendments, conservation tillage, and integrated pest management that enhance soil health and fertility while reducing environmental impact. The study emphasizes the importance of ecological principles in agricultural systems to maintain long-term productivity, biodiversity, and resilience against climate change. By integrating scientific knowledge with traditional farming practices, agroecology offers a holistic approach to sustainable food production and environmental conservation.
