Abstract

 This article examines the growth of homestay tourism in rural areas, focusing on its potential to promote sustainable development, preserve local culture, and generate income for rural communities. The study explores factors driving the popularity of homestays, including authentic cultural experiences, affordability, and personalized services, as well as challenges such as infrastructure limitations, regulatory issues, and quality standards. The research highlights strategies for enhancing homestay tourism, including community engagement, capacity building, and marketing initiatives, emphasizing its role in supporting rural livelihoods and sustainable tourism development.
