THE IMPORTANCE OF THE “KNOW–UNDERSTAND–APPLY” STAGES IN IMPROVING READING LITERACY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article analyzes the methodological significance of the first three stages of Bloom’s taxonomy — knowing, understanding, and applying — in organizing the learning activities aimed at improving reading literacy in primary school students. In literacy lessons, students not only read the text aloud but also develop the skills to comprehend it, reinterpret its content, and use its meaningful elements in specific situations, based on scientific evidence.
