MODERN APPROACHES TO THE TREATMENT OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease characterized by progressive joint involvement, the development of erosive changes, and systemic manifestations. Over the past decades, therapeutic approaches to the management of rheumatoid arthritis have undergone fundamental changes, shifting from predominantly symptomatic control of pain and inflammation toward strategies of early active intervention aimed at achieving remission or minimal disease activity. This article reviews contemporary concepts in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, including the use of conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs, biologic agents, and targeted synthetic therapies, as well as the role of the treat-to-target strategy and a personalized approach to patient management.Downloads
