xAbstract
This study examines the formation and usage of diminutives in English and Uzbek, two linguistically distinct languages. Diminutives serve various functions, including expressing affection, indicating smallness and reflecting social relationships. Through a comparative analysis of morphological structures, semantic implications and contextual usage, this article identifies key similarities and differences between the two languages. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of linguistic expressions and their cultural significance.
