Abstract

L’étude de la toponymie dans ses aspects théoriques et pratiques implique l’analyse des noms géographiques dans leurs contextes historique, linguistique et culturel. Les fondements théoriques de la toponymie, sa classification sémantique ainsi que le rôle pratique de la toponymie dans la cartographie et la nomination constituent des sujets de recherche importants.
L’étude de cette discipline est étroitement liée non seulement à la linguistique, mais aussi à la géographie et à l’histoire.
