The article examines perception as one of the leading cognitive mental processes that plays a key role in learning and personal development of a child. The essence of perception, its connection with other mental processes, and its main properties are analyzed. Special attention is paid to pedagogical conditions for the formation of correct perception in the educational process, the role of teachers and parents, the importance of teachers’ language proficiency, and the application of the «Case study» method. The article emphasizes the significance of individual perceptual differences among students for effective knowledge acquisition, emotional comfort, and the development of responsibility.
