YIELD OF QUINOA (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) UNDER A WIDE-ROW PLANTING SCHEME IN MODERATELY SALINE TAKYR-LIKE SOILS OF SURKHANDARYA REGION

This article presents information on the area of quinoa cultivation in the world, its average yield and the role of the plant in food security. At the same time, preliminary observations and analysis of the planting scheme of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd) in a wide row planting scheme in the soil-climatic conditions of the Surkhandarya region, on moderately saline arid soils, on the growth, development, and productivity of the plant are presented.
