Demographic processes are one of the important indicators of social development, reflecting the number, composition, location and movement of the population. These processes are formed by factors such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces, migration and life expectancy. The medical and social significance of demographic processes is determined by their direct impact on the health, standard of living and social well-being of the population. In modern society, the study of demographic changes in harmony with the medical and social spheres is one of the important strategic tasks. Age and sex ratios in the population serve as the main criteria for planning the health care system. For example, an increase in the proportion of children and the elderly increases the need for pediatrics, gerontology and prevention of chronic diseases. A decrease in the birth rate makes the issues of reproductive health, infertility problems and women's health protection urgent. Mortality rates and their causes are an important epidemiological indicator in assessing the level of general health of the population. The social significance of demographic processes is manifested through their impact on the formation of labor resources, economic development, the education system and the social security system. As a result of migration processes, population density, the level of urbanization and the burden on social infrastructure change, which directly affects the territorial distribution of medical services. At the same time, demographic changes can deepen social inequality, poverty and differences in access to health services.
