Abstract

In recent years, monetary and fiscal policy in Uzbekistan has been moving in two completely opposite directions. In particular, in contrast to the relatively tight monetary policy pursued by the Central Bank in order to curb high inflation, the government is pursuing a stimulating fiscal policy to stimulate aggregate demand. Below, we will try to evaluate the impact of policies conducted in these two directions on foreign trade and foreign trade deficit.

Monetary policy is a policy by the central bank aimed at increasing the money supply in order to provide additional stimulus to the economy, mainly by lowering the key interest rate.
