Introduction: Induction of labor is an important practice in obstetrics used to stimulate the onset of labor when there are medical indications. The effectiveness of various induction methods can significantly affect labor outcomes, the health of the mother and the newborn. Objective: The purpose of this article is to evaluate the effectiveness of various methods of labor induction, such as the use of oxytocin, mechanical methods (e.g., a folate catheter), as well as the use of prostaglandins and other pharmacological agents. Methods: The study analyzed data from clinical trials and systematic reviews on labor induction. The parameters assessed included time to labor onset, the need for additional interventions, the frequency of cesarean sections, as well as obstetric and perinatal outcomes.
