DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING IN STUDENTS

This paper examines the development of critical thinking in students at higher education institutions. The relevance of this topic stems from modern society's demands for training specialists capable of independently analyzing information, evaluating different points of view, and making informed decisions. The study explores the essence of critical thinking and analyzes pedagogical approaches and methods for its development in the educational process. Particular attention is paid to active learning methods, such as discussion, problem-based learning, case studies, and project-based activities. The role of the teacher in organizing the educational process aimed at developing students' analytical and reflective abilities is examined. It is concluded that the development of critical thinking contributes to the development of independence, improving the quality of education, and preparing future specialists for professional work.
