RELIGIOUS BELIEFS IN ANCIENT EGYPT AND THEIR HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE

Egypt has been a center of civilization, culture, trade, and religion from ancient times to the present day. This article analyzes the religious beliefs formed in ancient Egyptian civilization, their role in society, and their significance. In particular, the polytheistic beliefs of the Egyptians, the system of major gods, their concepts of the soul and the afterlife, as well as their religious rituals and traditions are described. Additionally, the divine status of the pharaohs, the activities of temples, and the reflection of religious beliefs in art and architecture are examined through examples. The article aims to reveal the unique features of the religious worldview of ancient Egypt.
