Abstract

This study investigates the role of multimodal teaching strategies—specifically video, audio, and visual content in enhancing communicative competence in English language learning. In contemporary educational environments, learners are exposed to diverse streams of information, making it essential to integrate multiple modes of input to facilitate effective language acquisition. The research aims to evaluate how multimodal resources influence learners’ speaking, listening, and interactive communication skills. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining quantitative data from experimental testing with qualitative insights from learner feedback and classroom observations. The findings indicate that multimodal instruction significantly improves learners’ engagement, comprehension, and communicative performance. Statistical results demonstrate notable gains in fluency and listening accuracy, while qualitative data reveal increased motivation and reduced communication anxiety. The study highlights the pedagogical value of multimodal strategies and provides practical recommendations for integrating digital tools into English language teaching. It also outlines future research directions in technology-enhanced language learning environments.
