When I look at history, I see not only events, but also that words have their own history.City names are not simple geographical terms, but silent historians.Although they have remained silent for thousands of years, they preserve within them the beliefs, dreams, legends, and way of life of peoples. In this article, I introduce you to the mysterious name of Bukhara that originated from worship, the story of Samarkand leading to greatness, the sunny land of Khwarezm, the stony city of Tashkent, and the symbolic image of Termez as a border city. Each name is a key — if you open it, you will enter the hidden treasure of history. In this research, I was inspired both by the works of scholars such as Narshakhi, Beruni, and Mahmud Kashgari, as well as by folk legends.Because true history lives not only in books, but also in the memory of the people.
