THE LEGAL STATUS OF MEDIATORS IN UZBEKISTAN, ISSUES OF TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS WITH FOREIGN COUNTRIES

This article comprehensively examines the legal status of mediators in Uzbekistan, the professional requirements imposed on them, the current state of the mediator training system, and the normative legal foundations of mechanisms for improving their qualifications. In the course of the research, gaps in national legislation, issues of mediator liability, standards of certification, continuity of professional development, and shortcomings relating to the quality of practical training are identified and substantiated. In addition, the experience of foreign countries is analysed from a comparative legal perspective, and proposals adapted to the conditions of Uzbekistan are developed. These proposals present a scientifically grounded approach aimed at strengthening mediation as a professional institution, standardising the training system, developing professional development on an institutional basis, and improving the quality indicators of mediation practice.Downloads
