Abstract

The comparative analysis of the state and development directions of modern lexicography in English and Uzbek languages reveals the similarities and differences in lexicographical practices, tools, and methodologies. The research explores the evolution of lexicographical traditions in both linguistic contexts, emphasizing the impact of digital technologies, cultural influences, and language policies. Particular attention is given to the compilation of monolingual, bilingual, and specialized dictionaries, alongside challenges in reflecting modern linguistic trends such as slang, neologisms, and regional dialects. This study highlights the potential for mutual enrichment and collaboration in the field of lexicography, aiming to contribute to its future advancements.
