Abstract

Dismetabolic nephropathies encompass a group of metabolic disorders leading to kidney damage due to abnormal excretion of metabolic by-products like oxalates, urates, phosphates, and calcium. These conditions can lead to stone formation and impaired renal function. This article discusses the clinical features of oxalate, urate nephropathies, phosphaturia, and hypercalciuria, emphasizing the importance of urine biochemical analysis and dietary management in the prevention and treatment of these disorders.
