REVIVING URBAN MOBILITY: UNVEILING THE PANACEA FOR URBANIZATION AND TRANSPORTATION CRISIS IN URBAN CENTRES
Aduma Thomas , Department of Public Administration Enugu State University of Science and Technology, NigeriaAbstract
Urbanization has led to significant challenges in transportation systems within urban centers. The increasing population density, limited infrastructure, and inefficient transportation networks have resulted in congestion, pollution, and reduced accessibility. This paper explores potential solutions to the urbanization and transportation crisis by unveiling a panacea for urban mobility. Through a comprehensive analysis of various strategies and technologies, we identify key approaches that can effectively address the challenges and revitalize transportation systems in urban centers. The proposed panacea encompasses a holistic approach, incorporating sustainable urban planning, intelligent transportation systems, multi-modal transportation options, and advanced technologies. By implementing this panacea, urban centers can achieve improved mobility, reduced congestion, enhanced sustainability, and increased quality of life for residents.
