REVIVING ROOTS: INTEGRATING TRADITIONAL UZBEK WEAVING INTO THE GLOBAL LUXURY MARKET

This article explores the integration of traditional Uzbek weaving, specifically the handcrafted textiles of atlas and adras, into the global luxury fashion market. It analyzes the cultural, aesthetic, and economic value of these textiles and examines the modern demand for artisanal craftsmanship in an age of mass production. Drawing parallels to other nations whose traditional garments have gained international prestige, the paper discusses actionable strategies to elevate Uzbek weaving into a globally recognized and desirable luxury product. Through cultural preservation, innovation in marketing, and strategic collaborations, Uzbek textiles have the potential to become a powerful ambassador of national identity in the luxury sector.
