Abstract

The article covers the role and significance of the formation of a reading culture in readers in the modern educational process. There has been an analysis of the arousal of interest in reading books, the involvement of students in independent reading, the influence of the family and school environment in this regard. The role of effective methods and tools for the development of reading, teacher and library activities are also considered. The article includes practical recommendations for educators, Methodists, and parents.
