Abstract

This study explores the comparative analysis of poetic translation in the works of Alisher Navoi and William Shakespeare. The research focuses on examining the linguistic, stylistic, and cultural challenges inherent in translating poetry from Uzbek to English and from English to Uzbek, highlighting the strategies used to preserve meaning, rhythm, and aesthetic value. The study also investigates how translators navigate cultural nuances and poetic devices to maintain fidelity to the original text while ensuring readability and artistic impact in the target language. Findings underscore the importance of understanding both source and target cultures and the interplay between language, style, and poetic expression in achieving successful translations.
