Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of global financial crises on the stability of economic systems and the main trends in post-crisis recovery processes. Using the 1997–1998 Asian financial crisis, the 2008 global financial crisis, and the post-pandemic economic crisis as examples, macroeconomic changes, banking sector disruptions, declines in investment activity, and factors affecting population welfare are examined. In the recovery process, fiscal and monetary measures, the role of international financial institutions, and the flexibility of economic policy are specifically considered.
