Abstract

This study explores the reception of Shakespearean performances in Uzbekistan, analyzing both scholarly critique and media coverage. Emphasis is placed on translation practices, cultural adaptation, and theatrical interpretation, as well as the interaction between academic discourse and public perception. The findings suggest that while scholars prioritize fidelity to original texts and performance theory, media narratives often highlight cultural resonance and audience engagement, reflecting a nuanced interplay between intellectual appraisal and popular reception.
