Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Applied Science and Social Science (JASSS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form undermines the trust in scholarly communication and compromises the integrity of research. Therefore, JASSS strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, including but not limited to:

  1. Verbatim Copying: Presenting someone else's work, ideas, or words as one's own without proper citation.

  2. Paraphrasing Without Attribution: Rewriting someone else's work or ideas in different words without providing proper acknowledgment.

  3. Self-Plagiarism: Reproducing one's own previously published work without appropriate citation or indication of the source.

  4. Data Fabrication and Falsification: Manipulating research data or results to present false or misleading information.

  5. Unauthorized Collaboration: Submitting work done in collaboration with others without properly acknowledging their contributions.

  6. Improper Citation: Failing to give credit to the original source or using inaccurate citations.

JASSS employs rigorous measures to detect and address instances of plagiarism. All submissions undergo thorough Scrutiny and Turnitin Plagiarism Checker using plagiarism detection software and manual screening by our editorial team. Authors found to have engaged in plagiarism or academic misconduct will face serious consequences, including but not limited to rejection of their manuscript, prohibition from submitting to JASSS in the future, and notification of their institution or employer.

Authors are reminded to adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and principles of academic integrity when submitting their work to JASSS. Proper citation and referencing of all sources, including text, data, and ideas, are essential. Authors must ensure that their submissions are original and have not been published elsewhere in whole or in part.

By submitting their work to JASSS, authors affirm that their manuscript is entirely their original work, that they have appropriately cited all sources, and that it does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. Any concerns regarding plagiarism or academic integrity violations will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

We encourage all authors, reviewers, and readers to uphold the principles of academic honesty and integrity, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge and scholarship in applied science and social science.
